Our San Diego Chiropractic Office is made up of a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best quality healthcare in a responsive and caring environment. Dr. Lewis has years of experience in the profession. He works in concert with other doctors to provide you with the very best care possible. His medical network includes primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurologist and neurosurgeons. Dr. Lewis is an associate professor at Southern University of Health Sciences and Logan Chiropractic College, where he mentors new doctors, teaching them how to care for patients in a clinic setting.
Dr. Lewis has been in practice since 1988. After completing his clinic internship, he did a preceptorship, (a type of residency program) in a clinic that specialized in auto accidents and work related injuries, where he gained valuable knowledge in treating and managing these specific soft tissue injuries. After one year of specializing in whiplash injuries, he associated with a family practice. It was in this type of practice, that Dr. Lewis began treating a wide variety of conditions. He began treating babies to grandparents and everyone in between. After one year of being an associate, Dr. Lewis opened Contemporary Health Care of San Diego. A contemporary approach to treating health care problems. His focus is on treating the whole person. By establishing a relationship with the practice member enables him to treat the person as whole and not just a condition. This helps to heal from within.
Dr. Lewis has lived in San Diego since 1966 after moving from New York with his family. He graduated from U.C.S.D. in 1985 with a Bachelors Degree and then from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1988 with a Doctorate Degree. He is an avid sports fan and has treated many professional and non-professional athletes. He has been on many of the medical teams for several professional sports teams.
Dr. Lewis has been voted Best Chiropractor in the Neighborhood and has received the Spectrum Award for Excellence from 2014 through the present.
"In 1981, for certain reasons, I decided to change careers. I initially was headed for medical school. However, after going to a chiropractor and seeing people walking in with pain then walking out feeling so much better, without drugs, or surgery or anything other than what the doctor did with his hands. That was it. There is nothing more rewarding. I love my job.

Office Manager - Emily Wilkins - The first person you will meet in our office is our office manager, Emily. Emily has been in customer service for over 20 years. She has been in the chiropractic profession for many of those years. She is well versed in dealing with insurance companies and other matters that make our office run smoothly.
